Holly your right.....we are all related to the same people without being related.  The family member you are referring to is my Uncle Orville Moody and his brother Lloyd Moody.  Both of them played on the PGA tour, but Lloyd only lasted a little while.  Uncle Orville (The Searg)  played the PGA tour and the Senior PGA tour until a couple of years ago when his health went south and he passed away Last  year or the year before.  He was in Sulphur Springs, Tx.

Man I am really sorry to hear that Orville passed away. He and I were really good friends and we would go places and do things together when he would come to Bagdad for a visit. At one time he was the top money winner on the PGA tour. He taught me a real good lesson in life about turning the other cheek. One night we went to at dance at the bar. At that time it was George's place then later on it was called Roy-B's. Anyway we were setting at a table and for no reason George Rudy reached across the table and hit him in the face and Orville just sat there and didn't even flinch. I asked him why he didn't get up and stomp his wabe in the ground and he said he didn't have anything to prove to him. later on in life I got to thinking about what he had said that night and could just imagine what would have happened to his golfing career if he would have gotten into a bar room brawl and the media would have gotten wind of it. I'll tell you he was really a class act and one of the nicest persons I have ever met.

Yea.....he used to be a great guy when I was younger.  We used to go watch him golf and he would bring us in the club house after his tourneys.  I got to meet Chi-Chi Rodriguez (a real a$$shole) and a bunch of other pros.  Toward the end of his career, he got divorced, married his 20 something year old caddie Michelle and his life just kinda went down hill from there.  His health declined and played less golf and finally quit. I will always remember going to watch him golf, plus it was cool to tell everyone that I had a great uncle on the PGA and Senior PGA tour.
